Postproduction

 Postproduction

During this film, our group used a dark filter in the editing process to create an intensive tension about that something bad is about the happen, which did at the end of the opening scene.
During the opening scene, the technology that was used, an iPhone 13 for recording the shots around the school and a computer which was used to edit on "WeVideo".
During this production, I learned a lot of stuff on postproduction technologies like WeVideo. On that editing website, I learned the basics of editing and how to trim, cut, and slower down shots.
Some sources we used to learn how to use our equipment was on YouTube, where we looked up how to use WeVideo. Another source we used was Netflix, which was basically inspirations on how to make our opening scene production.
Our titles sequence follows the convention of horror movies because we came up with a name 'Classroom Killer', which is obvious that the genre is for horror, and we also used title conventions in the beginning by adding red colors to make it seem like blood in the starting credits.
The types of transitions we were using were basically just closeups into a new shot to make a smooth continuous opening scene. The only effect that was added was the black and white filter which creates in the viewers mind, a horror shot.
The types of sounds that we added is eerie music soundtrack and a screaming noise for the end of the opening scene.
Some influences that we worked from was 'The Conjuring' and 'Birdbox', which are both flashbacks opening scenes. There also films who both fall in our horror genre which is another reason why we found them both as inspirations.
Some difficulties that were long away were maintaining a straight face and also trying to make a shocked face in the screaming shot.
Some learning experiences were learning how to edit and act. Acting seems easy but I realized while being in it, it's a lot harder then what it looks.
